Police identified a woman who died in a crash after driving through a red light at a Millcreek intersection on Friday afternoon.

Sharon Sleight, 83, was driving west on 3300 South at Highland Drive when she hit the back of another car in the intersection, said Unified Police Department spokesman Ken Hansen.

Her car veered to the left and crashed into the bowling alley near the corner at 3:30 p.m., Hansen said. Sleight, of Millcreek, was declared dead at the scene, he said.

The intersection was closed in all directions until about 5:20 p.m.
