The Unified Police Department has identified the man killed Saturday in a Taylorsville car crash.

Bobby Tupoumalohi, 20, of Kearns, died Saturday after his car struck a pole and caught fire. Before the incident, witnesses told police, Tupoumalohi had been speeding and driving reckelessly. Police said the crash occurred near 5400 South and 2700 West, where Tupoumalohi's car ran a red light and clipped another vehicle before hitting the pole.

The driver of the clipped vehicle was not seriously injured, police said.
