Two gun-toting home invaders remained at large Tuesday, after breaking into a Taylorsville home with a history of alleged drug distribution.

Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke said the suspects — one white male and one dark-skinned male, both wearing masks, gloves and hooded sweatshirts and armed with handguns — burst into the home at 5084 S. 3200 West at 1:56 a.m.

The gunmen entered through a side door, pointed their guns at two occupants and demanded money while asking for the whereabouts of a third resident. The two occupants were bound with zip-ties while the home invaders ransacked a bedroom and fled with a small baggie of marijuana, Lohrke said.

UPD officers, with the help of a police dog, were able to track the suspects to a nearby corner; that's where the trail went cold.

Lohrke said it appears the duo either had a car waiting or were picked up by someone.

The same address was the scene of a 2012 raid in which 16 pounds of marijuana was seized, UPD confirmed.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call UPD at 801-743-7000.
