Three people are dead after a crash in St. George Saturday morning.

About 11 a.m., Michael James, 21, lost control of his SUV on State Route 18 as it started to drift and he overcorrected, forcing the vehicle into dirt and rocks, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. The SUV slid off the road, rolled and ejected two passengers, according to UHP.

James and one of the ejected men, 26-year-old Jason Fahsel, were declared dead at the scene, police said. The other ejected passenger, 22-year-old Timothy Fahsel, was flown to Dixie Regional Medical Center by helicopter and died at the hospital.

A fourth passenger suffered minor injuries, according to UHP.

The four were on their way home to St. George after camping the night before, police said. The cause of the crash still is under investigation.
