Ogden fire crews battled flames at an unoccupied car dealership through Thursday night into Friday morning.

Officials declared the fire "controlled" — meaning the bulk of the fire was out — at 11 p.m., but crews remained at the scene addressing hot spots Friday morning, according to Ogden fire Deputy Chief Eric Bauman.

Once the fire was under control, firefighters were able to go into the structure, Bauman said, adding that they had not found any people or discovered the origin or cause of the fire.

Strong winds complicated the effort to extinguish the fire, which was reported at 8:01 p.m.
