Unified Police upped the ante Tuesday in their hunt for an armed robber after the suspect jumped over a Midvale convenience store counter and threatened the clerk with a knife.

Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke released video (https://t.co/dGiN4FkFDk) from a security camera at the 7-Eleven, 8000 S. State Street, after the suspect — a tall, thin black man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a blue bandana over his face — struck about 1 a.m. Tuesday.

The same man is suspected in another convenience store robbery, just after midnight on March 22, near 7000 S. State Street.

In both robberies the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amounts of cash. Neither clerk was hurt.
