Friends of Bear River Refuge and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service hosted Owl Day on Saturday, teaching birdwatchers — new and veteran — how to have a hoot year-round at Brigham City's Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, 2155 W. Forest.

Owl pellets were on hand for dissection, craft stations were available for artistic reflection and documentaries screened as educational projection.
