A 47-year-old Bountiful man accused of giving a 15-year-old girl alcohol before raping her last year has been sentenced to prison.

Julio Ceaser Becerril was initially charged in 2nd District Court with first-degree felony counts of object rape and forcible sodomy, as well as second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse and a misdemeanor count of furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Becerril pleaded guilty last week to first-degree felony counts of attempted rape and attempted forcible sodomy.

He was immediately sentenced by Judge Glen Dawson to concurrent prison terms of three years to life.

On Dec. 5, 2015, the victim went to work for Becerril at his landscaping business, and after work he took her to a fast food restaurant to eat, and then to his home, according to charging documents.

There, he gave the girl two shots of liquor, then forced himself on her, removing her clothing and engaging in sexual intercourse without her consent, charges state.

The victim told family members about the incident and they notified police.
