St. George • A 23-year-old Colorado City, Ariz., man has pleaded guilty in Utah to vandalizing property belonging to a former bodyguard for a polygamous sect's prophet and jailed leader.

The Spectrum newspaper reports Oliver William Darger was sentenced Thursday to 60 days in jail already served, plus three years of probation after pleading guilty to felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor trespassing.

Darger acknowledged doing $10,000 in damage to property in Hildale, Utah, that belonged to Warren Jeffs until Willie Jessop acquired it in 2013.

Jessop acquired the property after winning a $29.5 million default judgment against Jeffs and the Fundamentalist Church of Justice Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
