A 57-year-old man died in a three-car crash in North Ogden on Tuesday afternoon.

Gregory Jensen was traveling south on 400 East about 12:20 p.m., according to a news release from the city's police department. A Jeep turning left from 2300 North onto 400 East struck Jensen's car.

Due to the impact, Jensen lost control of his vehicle, crossed the median and rolled into northbound traffic, where his car hit a sedan, the release states. The sedan then struck a tree before coming to rest on a parking strip.

Jensen died at the scene. The driver of the sedan was transported to a nearby hospital and was expected to recover. The driver of the Jeep was not injured. Charges are pending as officers investigate the scene.

Northbound and southbound traffic in the region was shut down for about four hours. Lanes on 400 East reopened about 4:30 p.m.
