An 18-year-old died after a truck left the road and went off a cliff Sunday in Carbon County.

The teen, Donald Winter, was in the truck with another person near Benches Road in Consumers Canyon west of Helper about 6:15 p.m., when the truck left the road, apparently due to "weather-related conditions," according to Carbon County sheriff's deputies. Deputies arrived to find that the truck had fallen nearly 200 feet from a cliff, investigators wrote.

Winter was thrown from the truck and died at the scene; the other occupant was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive, deputies wrote.
