A woman who married polygamous sect leader Warren Jeffs as a teenager and had been sought by Canadian authorities recently emerged in her hometown, her brother says.

Mildred "Millie" Blackmore was 13 years old when on March 1, 2004, according to records from the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she married Jeffs in a spiritual ceremony in Colorado City, Ariz.

Millie is from the FLDS community called Bountiful in Lister, British Columbia, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police had been searching for her as part of an investigation into her parents, who go on trial Tuesday.

One of Millie's half-brothers, Brandon S. Blackmore, on Sunday said he saw her in Bountiful about three weeks ago. She is living with her mother, he said, and was wearing FLDS attire and appears to remain loyal to Jeffs and the church.

Brandon Blackmore, who hadn't seen Millie since 2009, did not approach her.

"I haven't confronted her because she wouldn't talk to me anyway," he said Sunday.

Brandon Blackmore said he informed the RCMP, but doesn't know if agents there have tried to speak to Millie.

Millie was one of at least three Canadian girls who married Jeffs and had been sought by the RCMP. The other two, Alyshia Rae Blackmore and Nolita Colleen Blackmore, both were married to Jeffs at the age of 12 at an FLDS compound near Eldorado, Texas, according to church records seized by law enforcement. Brandon Blackmore said he does not know where they are.

All three brides were thought to have been living in FLDS homes or compounds somewhere in the western United States or Canada.
