A woman died and her husband remained in serious condition after a crash in Hurricane on Thursday.
The couple was driving east on State Street about 6:20 p.m. when they turned left in front of a truck traveling west near 3400 West, said Hurricane police Sgt. Brandon Buell. The truck hit the couple's car on the passenger side.
Responding crews extricated the wife, identified as 55-year-old Adela Castillo, of Hurricane, and transported her to a hospital. She died from her injuries Friday afternoon, Buell said. The husband was transported with serious injuries. The two passengers in the truck were not injured.
The crash is under investigation.
