The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Bountiful police are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to arrests and convictions in the thefts of firearms from a pawn shop burglary.

The Pawn Depot, located at 631 S. 500 West in Bountiful, was broken into 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. More than two dozen guns were taken.

Special Agent in Charge Ken Croke, of the ATF's Denver office, said on Friday that recovering the weapons is a "top investigative priority"for his agency.

"Our goal is to quickly apprehend those responsible and recover the stolen firearms before they end up in future crimes," Croke said.

"[The stolen firearms are] a threat to the safety of our community," added Bountiful police Lt. Dave Edwards, who released video from the pawn shop's security cameras to aid in the effort.

Anyone with any information about this case should contact ATF at 1-800- ATF-GUNS (1-800-283-4867) or Bountiful police at 801-298-6000.
