If it is, as author Jim Bishop says, that autumn "carries more gold in its pockets than all the other seasons," then Utah has a rich week ahead of it.

The forecast offers crisp and cool mornings followed by warm afternoons across the state this week, ushering in seven days of ideal fall weather.

Salt Lake City will see highs in the 70s Saturday with partial cloud cover. Lows will dip into the 50s in the evening as the skies clear. The remainder of the week looks much the same: pleasantly temperate.

Temperatures in Utah's Dixie will hover in the mid-80s Saturday with a slight chance for thunderstorms in the evening. Lows will remain in the upper-50s. St. George skies will clear up as the week progresses, bringing in warmer weather and sunshine.
