A 30-year-old Price man was killed Sunday when the Monte Carlo he was driving east on U.S. 6 in Spanish Fork Canyon went into the opposite lane at about 9:30 a.m. and struck the side of a west bound semi, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Daniel J. Pike, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected through the driver's door window and sustained fatal injuries, a UHP news release says.

No one in the semi was injured. The crash closed the highway for more than three hours for investigation and cleanup.
