A man died at the scene of a three-car crash in Weber County on Wednesday night.

A sedan was traveling on 3100 West about 7:30 p.m., according to Roy police Detective Josh Taylor, and attempted to turn left onto Midland Drive.

A car going north on Midland Drive hit the sedan before stopping in an oncoming traffic lane. An SUV traveling south on Midland Drive then struck the second car.

The driver of the second car died at the scene, Taylor said. He was identified as Carey Mikesell, 59.

The driver of the turning sedan, a 16-year-old male, was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
