A Utah concrete company with ties to a polygamous group is pushing back against allegations it put underage laborers to work for long hours with little pay around the country.

Phaze Concrete acknowledged in court documents filed Wednesday that federal investigators found three teens on a job site in 2014, but said the company has since fixed the problem and shouldn't be slapped with sanctions by the Labor Department.

U.S. Department of Labor lawyers, though, say investigators have found evidence of a wider use of young workers in hazardous conditions since the boys were first discovered.

They say Phaze should pay back wages for child labor used on jobs for companies like Wal-Mart, Scheels All Sports and Hobby Lobby.
