A police officer and one other driver were taken to the hospital — albeit in fair condition — after a Friday night car crash in Millcreek.

The officer was responding to a call at about 5 p.m., heading west at the intersection of 3900 South and 700 East, when the crash occurred, said Unified police Lt. Brian Lohrke.

The police vehicle and car both spun after the collision and struck two other cars that were stationary.

Lohrke confirmed that the officer was released from the hospital later Friday night.

The South Salt Lake City Police Department was investigating, he said.
