An Ogden woman died early Monday after the car she was driving left the road and rolled down an embankment near Pineview Reservoir.

The woman, 30, was traveling on State Road 158 about midnight near Pineview Dam in Weber County when her car apparently swerved and struck a guardrail, causing it to roll multiple times, said Weber County sheriff's Deputy Nate Hutchinson. The woman was thrown from the car, Hutchinson said.

A passer-by saw the overturned car and called police, Hutchinson said; a sheriff's deputy found the woman's body near the car and attempted CPR, but she died at the scene.

No one else was inside the car when it crashed, Hutchinson said.
