A car struck a school bus carrying elementary-age students in Logan on Wednesday afternoon; minor injuries were reported.

A 16-year-old driver's sedan was traveling north about 600 South and 300 West when she failed to stay in her lane where the road curved at a sharp angle, said Logan police Sgt. Scott Murray. The car hit the bus, which was heading south, about 2:45 p.m.

The crash sparked a small fire on the Cache County School District bus. The driver extinguished the flames while the 36 students exited, Murray said.

The sedan driver, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for the incident. Her passenger was not harmed.

One student on the bus reported minor injuries, and her mother later transported her to a local hospital.
