Public safety dispatchers confirmed that residents of a South Ogden assisted living center were briefly evacuated Tuesday morning due to a suspected fire.
No injuries were reported the Legacy House of Ogden, 5526 S. 500 East, and residents were back inside the structure as of 8:50 a.m., about 25 minutes after smoke was reported in an elevator shaft.
A spokeswoman for the center said South Ogden firefighters quickly addressed the issue and cleared the building as safe.
