A 43-year-old man was killed when his pickup truck collided with a semi-trailer rig on Redwood Road in Salt Lake City Thursday morning.
Public safety dispatchers confirmed that the crash occurred at 7:29 a.m. near 1802 S. Redwood Road.
The pickup truck driver, identified as Victor Manuel Arellano-Solis, reportedly was southbound on Redwood Road when the northbound semi made a left turn into the pickup's path.
The semi's driver was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
The cause of the accident remained under investigation.
