What Nat King Cole once called "those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer" describes exactly the type of weather descending on Utah this week.

The crazy summer heat will continue to linger, along with a smoky haze hanging over the state due to California wildfires.

Temperatures in Salt Lake City on Sunday will hover in the high- to mid-90s with sunny skies. The lows will drop to the low-70s. Monday looks much the same - until the afternoon, which will bring a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms.

The St. George region can expect scattered showers and thunderstorms Sunday while temperatures hover in the upper-90s. Things should cool off into the 70s at night, but the storms will likely continue through Tuesday evening.
