Several homes in central Salt Lake City were evacuated late Friday morning due to a natural gas leak that was repaired by late morning.

Public safety dispatchers said a 911 call came in at 9:57 a.m. after construction crews reportedly struck and ruptured a gas line outside 501 E. 900 South, near Liberty Park.

No injuries were reported.

Questar repair crews fixed the leak by about 11:45 a.m.
