Freeway ramp and lane closures beginning this weekend on Interstates 15 and 215, State Road 201 and Bangerter Highway are expected to create some delays and complicate driving.

Westside I-215 • The Utah Department of Transportation is closing the ramp from northbound I-215 to westbound S.R. 201 for 30 days beginning Friday morning. UDOT says drivers should use Bangerter Highway or I-15 to access S.R. 201.

The closure will allow rebuilding the ramp, part of the I-215 reconstruction project.

Also as part of that I-215 project, the on-ramp from eastbound 4700 South to northbound I-215 is now closed until late August. Drivers should use 3500 South or Redwood Road to access northbound I-215.

I-15 at Point of the Mountain • Southbound I-15 is scheduled to be reduced to one lane near 14600 South in Bluffdale for three nights — Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Lane closures will begin about 8 p.m. each night with southbound I-15 reduced to one lane by midnight. All lanes will reopen by 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, and in time for Monday's morning commute.

Crews will be continuing bridge work there as part of the I-15 widening project near the Point of the Mountain.

I-15 in Davis County • Daytime lane closures are scheduled Mondays through Fridays for the next three months on I-15 in Davis County between the U.S. 89/Park Lane interchange in Farmington and the Layton Parkway exit.

Crews will be adding auxiliary lanes in the area, as well as new ramp meters at 200 North in Kaysville. UDOT advises drivers to plan extra time for delays, and to consider alternate routes or using the FrontRunner commuter train.

Bangerter at I-15 • The on-ramp from eastbound Bangerter Highway to southbound I-15 is scheduled to close from 11 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday.

Crews will be repairing concrete pavement on the ramp. Drivers may access southbound I-15 by first entering northbound I-15, then using 12300 South to turn around and enter southbound I-15.
