Salt Lake City officials are asking for public input on transit station zoning.

The Planning Division will host an open house Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the fourth floor of City Hall, 451 S. State, in an effort to educate the public and get input on changes being drafted for the Transit Station Area (TSA) Zoning District.

Input is also being gathered via a survey on Open City Hall at http://www.peakdemocracy.com/3835.

The TSA Zoning District is located on North Temple between 400 West and the Airport, and on 400 South between 200 East and 900 East.

The TSA Zoning Improvement project is a review to address issues and concerns that have been identified as development projects have been screened, approved and built.

Goals of the project include: Improving the zoning standards to address issues with building scale, ground floor uses, building design, and building materials; improving guidelines to provide incentives for developing affordable housing, green-building design, and energy efficiency; establishing a higher threshold to determine if projects can be approved administratively; and clarifying land uses that are allowed in the zoning district.

A summary of the changes being considered for the TSA Zone is located at http://bit.ly/2ajZzON.
