Construction crews cut a waterline Friday afternoon, leaving some residents in South Jordan and West Jordan without water for about 24 hours, authorities say.

The waterline break, located at 6220 W. 10200 South, is affecting several meter stations in both cities, causing low water pressure in some places and no water in others, according to a news release from South Jordan.

South Jordan residents are affected from about 10200 South to 11800 South, and 4000 West to about 7000 West; West Jordan residents are affected from 7800 South to about 10200 South, and 4800 West to about 7000 West.

To ensure enough indoor water is available until the break is fixed, the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District has asked that residents not use any water outdoors for lawns or gardens.

Water was restored to all homes about 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
