A fire in North Salt Lake damaged a home Thursday afternoon and knocked unconscious two dogs.

The blaze started about 2 p.m. on the patio of a house near 200 East and 2900 South, said South Davis Metro Fire Chief Jeff Bassett. It spread inside after blowing out a front window.

Crews put out the fire "fairly quickly," Bassett said, preventing the house from being a "major loss."

Firefighters pulled two dogs out of the house, who were unconscious, and revived them with oxygen masks. No people were inside during the blaze.

Though investigators were looking for the cause, Bassett said the fire was not suspicious. It caused about $15,000 in damage.
