St. George • Authorities in St. George say an alleged sexual assault between a 14-year-old boy and a young girl occurred inside a changing room at a public pool.

Police initially did not say where inside the Sand Hollow Aquatic Center the alleged incident took place Thursday.

Capt. Mike Giles tells KUTV that the suspect and the victim had only met just prior to the assault.

He said the alleged victim is under 13 years old.

The boy, who is not being identified because of his age, is facing two counts of aggravated sexual abuse and one charge of rape of a child.

He was taken into custody Friday after a police interview.

Investigators say the continuing investigation could lead to more charges.
