A suspect in a pair of strong-armed robberies and a vehicle theft in Davis County turned himself in Sunday, and police in Layton and Clearfield were continuing to look for a second suspect.

According to Clearfield police, Michael Thomson was in custody Sunday and Cortland Nebekar was still being sought. Police had described the men, both 20, as armed and dangerous.

The two assaulted and robbed a victim in Layton, then went to West Point, where they committed several vehicle burglaries and stole a vehicle, according to police. The vehicle has since been recovered.

Police said the two were believed to be in possession of stolen firearms.
