One woman is dead after a Friday crash on U.S. Highway 6 near the Utah County-Carbon County line.

The crash occurred about 2:15 p.m. near mile marker 220, about 20 miles north of Price, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

A 46-year-old West Valley City woman was driving a truck east on U.S. Highway 6 and crossed over the center of the highway. The truck sideswiped a westbound sedan and then collided head-on with what police described as a "water tanker style" vehicle driving west.

The woman died from her injuries, and the commercial vehicle's male driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries. The two occupants of the sedan suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, police said, but evidence does not suggest impairment, distracted driving or speeding were primary factors.
