Police have identified a teenage boy who plunged to his death this weekend from a 200-foot southwestern Utah cliff.

Hurricane police Sgt. Brandon Buell said that the body of 15-year-old Pierce J. Adamson was found by emergency responders about 9 p.m. Sunday, near 1100 South and 100 West.

The teen had hiked to the top of the cliff with an adult family member. The youth was standing at the edge when rocks gave way, causing him to fall.

"There are no indicators of anything suspicious involved in this incident, but in any death, investigators will conduct an investigation, which is ongoing," Buell said.
