An Emery County man missing since Wednesday was found alive and in good condition Friday morning in central Utah's Huntington Canyon.

The Emery County Sheriff's Office said a Utah Department of Safety helicopter located 45-year-old Charles Jensen about a mile away from where passers-by had spotted his pickup truck late Thursday night. Deputies stayed with the truck through the night, and when Jensen remained missing Friday morning, the helicopter was dispatched at dawn.

He was spotted a short time later, rescued and taken to Castleview Hospital in Price for evaluation. Jensen was expected to recover from his apparent high desert ordeal, the sheriff's office stated.

Jensen had been last seen Wednesday afternoon, driving a white GMC Canyon pickup in nearby Salina.

When family members were unable to reach him, they reported him missing.
