A Frito-Lay factory caught fire in West Valley City on Wednesday afternoon, causing minor damage.

Accumulated material in a furnace near the ceiling caught fire about 4:30 p.m., said Bob Fitzgerald, West Valley City Fire Department battalion chief.

Crews put out the blaze on the roof of the factory, near 6300 West and 4700 South, "relatively quickly," and no one was injured, Fitzgerald said. The fire caused less than $10,000 in damage.

The fire comes less than a month after the blaze that gutted the company's factory in St. George.
