A body matching the description of a woman who apparently drowned after her raft overturned on the Green River in Dinosaur National Monument has been found.

Search-and-rescue team members found the body at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, trapped underwater in the roots of a large downed tree in the river, according to a news release from the National Park Service.

The woman was identified as Sandra "Sandy" Wolder, 62, of Aurora, Colo.

A commercial company was guiding the raft when it flipped at Upper Disaster Falls in the Canyon of Lodore about 5 p.m. Friday, the National Park Service said. All occupants, except Wolder, made it safely to shore.

The trip leader notified the monument about the incident, and members of the rafting group searched the shoreline, the news release said. A helicopter was dispatched Friday to conduct air reconnaissance along the river corridor until it got dark, and a search-and-rescue team began looking for Wolder on Saturday morning.
