Saturday temperatures will provide a slight break for Utah with highs near Salt Lake dropping about 10 degrees from Friday's highs but picking right back up where they left off Sunday.

The rest of the weekend is expected to yield clear and sunny skies throughout the state, with temperatures along the Wasatch Front reaching the low 80s and topping off at 103 degrees in St. George.

Friday's red flag warning for the eastern Utah region near Green River and Moab has been lifted, but in its place, a hazardous weather outlook has been posted. Residents and travelers should beware of scattered showers and thunderstorms over the mountains from late morning until evening. The activity will generate "dangerous lighting," small hail and strong winds reaching up to 40 mph.

In that region, rivers are also expected to continue running high from melted snow, especially the Green River.

Another hazardous weather outlook has been issued for the western two-thirds of the state, warning those along the northern part of the Wasatch Front of high heat.

Weather conditions prevented the 1,193-acre Saddle Fire in Dixie National Forest from spreading Friday night, but much of the fire remains "inaccessible" to firefighting crews. Only property owners are allowed in the Pine Valley area at this time, according to the Bureau of Land Management.

The Utah Division of Air Quality promises healthy "green" conditions for most places along the Wasatch Front, while Utah County and below will experience "yellow," or compromised air quality statewide on Saturday.

Grass and mold allergens remained "high" on the pollen index at the Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website, and cattail allergens were still "moderate" Saturday.
