A Weber County woman has pleaded guilty to driving drunk during a fatal rollover crash last year in Tooele County.

Ann Margaret Fearn, 48, of Hooper, pleaded guilty this week in 2nd District Court to a reduced third-degree felony count of automobile homicide in connection with the death of her passenger, Gerald D. Bastian, 61, of West Haven.

Fearn faces up to five years in prison when she is sentenced Aug. 2 by 3rd District Judge Robert Adkins.

Court documents say Fearn's blood-alcohol content was over the legal limit of 0.08 percent on Aug. 26 when, just before 7 a.m., her car rolled on eastbound Interstate 80 about 15 miles west of Grantsville.

Bastian, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Fearn, who was restrained, suffered critical injuries to her body and head and was taken to the hospital.
