If the 1972 Seal and Crofts song is to be believed, the summer breezes blowing into northern Utah this weekend will certainly make you feel fine.

Following a warm and windy week, Salt Lake and Tooele valleys can expect more of the same. Temperatures Saturday will hover in the mid-90s with mild winds pushing up from the south. Sunday will cool down a bit with highs in the upper 80s.

The week will get hotter and sunnier from there.

Meanwhile, Utah's Dixie faces extreme heat warnings today through Wednesday as temperatures soar to the triple digits. Sunday highs for St. George are estimated at 106, and Monday could bring a whopping 110.

The National Weather Service on Saturday issued an excessive heat warning — in effect from noon Monday until 8 p.m. Tuesday — for Utah's Dixie, including Zion National Park; as well as the San Raphael Swell, Capitol Reef National Park and the Glen Canyon Recreation Area, including Lake Powell.

Heat index values — what the temperature feels like to the human body when relative humidity is combined with the air temperature — will reach 105 in those areas, the weather service said.

The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website notes "high" pollen levels for mold and "moderate" for grass statewide.
