A Payson man was killed and two other men were injured Sunday morning in a crash on State Road 68 in Utah County.

The Utah Highway Patrol identified the victim as 30-year-old Delfino Morales.

A UHP news release says Morales was driving south on SR-68, or Redwood Road, when the driver of a faster-moving car, which also was going south, tried to pass him at 5:39 a.m. The vehicles made contact and both went off the side of the road and rolled into a farm field, the release says.

Morales was ejected from the car and died from his injuries, the release says. The other vehicle re-entered the road and landed on its wheels.

A passenger in Morales' car and the driver of the other car were taken to a hospital with serious injuries, according to the news release, which says it appears seat belts were not used in either vehicle.
