Heber police arrested twin brothers allegedly involved with a national phone scheme Friday.

Over the past year, the 22-year-olds purchased smartphones at Best Buys and Apple stores in six Utah cities, using their names but billing other accounts, according to a news release from Heber City Police Department.

Police tracked the phones, and followed their signals to a hotel in Heber after being tipped by AT&T, the release states. Officers found 27 smartphones, worth about $22,800.

The brothers were booked into Wasatch County jail on second-degree-felony charges for possession of stolen property, according to the release.
