Unified Police say a 25-year-old woman remained in serious condition Monday, having possibly suffered spinal injuries in a fall the night before in Little Cottonwood Canyon.

UPD Detective Ken Hansen said the hiker, whose identity was not released, had not been wearing proper hiking footwear when she slipped and fell at Lisa Falls Sunday afternoon.

Rescue workers had to use ropes and rigging to reach and recover the unconscious woman from the steep, wet trail site.
