The Utah Highway Patrol is ramping up its efforts to stop impaired drivers this Memorial Day weekend.

The UHP is joining with other law enforcement agencies, will add additional DUI enforcement shifts statewide, with the goal of having zero fatalities on the highways over the holiday.

"The strong message is that if you plan to drink, plan to have a ride home," according to a UHP news release. "If you plan to drink and drive, plan on being arrested."
