Salt Lake City fire responded Wednesday morning to a fire at the Rendon Terrace apartments, located at 158 N. 600 West, but the blaze had been extinguished by the sprinkler system by the time crews arrived.

The fire was contained to apartment of origin by the sprinklers, fire officials said.

One patient was being transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation and burn to her hand, officials tweeted at about 11:45 a.m.

Crews were checking on other occupants.
