Lone Peak High School in Highland was evacuated — and students were later sent home for the day — following an unsubstantiated bomb threat Wednesday morning.

Lone Peak police reported at about noon that the school has been swept and given the all-clear.

Police said earlier that the threat did not appear to be credible and that the evacuation was done as a precautionary measure.

Nevertheless, multiple agencies, as well as bomb-sniffing dogs, were brought in to sweep the school, police reported.
