Salt Lake City police have released security camera video in hopes it will bring a pair of suspects in a series of violent robberies of the same business to justice.

The first holdup by the duo — two males in their teens or early 20s, one thin and Latino or Polynesian, with short black hair, and the other a heavy-set Polynesian with a black, "afro" style haircut — occurred 10 a.m. Monday, April 25, at the Chegoya Market, 202 S. 900 East. After beating a store employee, the suspects made off with cigarettes.

The two struck the same store again three days later, about 10:30 p.m., forcing their way through a back entrance and then stealing more cigarettes, along with candy and beer. On Wednesday, May 5, the suspects again broke into the business, SLCPD detectives say.

Anyone with information on these suspects should call SLCPD at 801-799-3630, or anonymously text 274637 using the keyword TIPSLCPD.
