Unified Police were looking for a gun-toting suspect in the early Wednesday morning robbery of a Taylorsville 7-Eleven store.

UPD Lt. Lex Bell said the suspect — described only as a black man, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants — entered the store at 1:47 a.m., produced a black handgun and demanded cash from the clerk.

The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the store.

No one was harmed.

UPD officers searched the area but found no trace of gunman, believed to have had a car parked nearby to make his escape.

Detectives were reviewing security camera video in hopes of getting images to help further identify the suspect.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call UPD at 801-743-7000.
