Three male suspects are in custody after Salt Lake City police received a report of shots fired at Liberty Park on Sunday.

According to city police Sgt. Robin Heiden, some bystanders in the park saw the shooting occur just before 4 p.m. and chased after the suspects. They lost track of them, but were able to give officers detailed descriptions. Officers used the information to locate the suspects, who Heiden said range in age from late teens to early 20s.

Although many people were enjoying the park, Heiden said, nobody in the park was injured. It isn't known what, or whom, the suspects were shooting at. They will likely be booked on aggravated-assault charges, Heiden said.
