One of the Mormon missionaries who was hurt in the Brussels bombing is now home from the hospital.

Mason Wells, 19, returned to his Sandy home Thursday after about a month in the burn unit at the University of Utah burn center. He had been moved to the Salt Lake City hospital after he and three other missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were hurt in the airport bombing on March 22.

"Mason was excited and emotional to be home for the first time since leaving on his mission in August 2014," according to a family statement on Facebook. "We were so touched to see all the family and friends who lined the streets with balloons and ribbons."

Santa Clara resident Joseph Empey, 20, was also hurt in the bombing, as was 66-year-old Richard Norby, of Lehi. Both have returned to Utah.

A fourth missionary — Fanny Rachel Clain, 20, of Montelimar, France — also was wounded. Clain, who was en route to Ohio, is expected to resume her missionary service in the U.S. when she is "fit enough to do so."
