The Utah Transit Authority is again offering discounted "Riders Licenses" for kids and teens this summer, and is offering an extra discount and a contest to try to get passengers to buy the passes early.

The passes allow unlimited rides on TRAX, FrontRunner, streetcar and local buses from June 1 through Aug. 31 for those ages 6 to 18.

A promotional price of $75 is available until June 15, when prices return to their normal $99.

UTA is also promoting the passes with a contest. Beginning Monday, it will post on its web page, rideuta.com, photographs of destinations that can be reached with the passes, and will add clues. The first to guess each destination correctly wins a pass.

Passes may be purchased at numerous local grocery stores. A list of them is available at rideuta.com
